Contest
The contest theme for this meeting is "Dads & Grads" in honor of
Father's Day and graduations in/near June. Build and bring a model
that fits the theme of the contest to enter. Adults and teens (12+)
should strive for maximum realism; younger kids are free to follow
their imagination. Please provide an index card with your first name,
age, and a brief description of your model.
Use your creativity to find an original idea that has something to do
with the theme. If you can come up with a story as to why your MOC
fits the theme, bring it!
Models must be original and may not have been displayed publicly or
online, or entered into any other contest. Only BayLUG members are
eligible to enter, but you may join online prior to the meeting and
take part.
Prizes will be awarded in four age groups:
- Under 6 years old - all entries will receive a prize
- 6-11 years old
- 12-17 years old
- 18 years and older
There will be one prize given for each age group. Only ONE entry per
member, please. All members wanting to participate in the building
contest MUST show their namebadge to be eligible to participate. If
there are any under-6 entries, there will be an age appropriate prize
available for them as well.
The contest judging will begin at 1:00pm. All contestants should be
present at that time to explain their models and vote. After the
prizes are awarded you may take your model and leave but you are
encouraged to leave them on display for the remainder of the meeting.
Remember, the contest is for members only. If you're not a member,
sign up prior to the meeting and you can participate in the contest.

[map]This is BayLUG's second AFOL (Adult Fan of LEGO) meeting. The purpose
of this meeting is to focus on the adult LEGO builders, hobbyists, and
creators in the club.
Note: This meeting is for members only, and not open to the
public. BayLUG and Hacker Dojo members are welcome to attend.
Hacker Dojo has moved! If you've been to previous meetings at
the old location, please make a note of the new address:
599 Fairchild Dr
Mountain View, CA 94043
There is not an age minimum to attend ... teenagers who treat
building and creating with LEGO as a serious pastime often create
models at least as impressive as adult builders and are welcome to
attend. However, this is not intended for younger children.
Please bring your best work to show, and join us for fun activities
similar to the events held at the Bricks by the Bay convention.
Members: You may bring models to show and tell, as well as LEGO
parts and sets to buy/sell/trade.
Activities
The specific agenda for this meeting has not been determined
yet. Members will be able to discuss potential activities on the
"planning" mailing list, and this site will be updated once the agenda
has been chosen.
Contest
Contest for this meeting has not yet been determined. Watch this space
for news.
