Imperial Fortress | |

These images document the construction of the new Imperial
fortress. The fortress is basically an adaptation of 3053 Emperor's Stronghold,
re-engineered to fit on the Eldorado Fortress baseplate, and as a complete structure
instead of just a facade. (See the last image to get an idea of what the tower
will look like). I estimate that I will have to purchase about 2 more 3053's
in order to complete the structure. (Blue extreme corner slopes are hard to
come by). The baseplate dictated that the doors be on the left side of the structure
instead of in the middle which caused some difficulties. You will notice that
the waterway is a bit "muddy". It has not been dug yet. Makes construction
a bit easier anyway.
In the meanwhile, here are some "fun" construction photos until I
get the required pieces to finish the construction. Scaffolds were built with
technic beams. A crane is mounted on some old grey rails. (I think they original
came from a Beta-1 Command base). The crane has a huge counter-weight on the
bottom that prevents it from falling off the rails.
