Tokugawa Ieyasu
|
 |
Tokugawa Ieyasu is one of Oda Nobunaga's most talented generals.
Famous for his tremendous self-confidence and military skill,
Ieyasu has proven himself in campaign after campaign as a brilliant
strategist.
In one of his more ironic victories, he found himself and his
army hopelessly outnumbered and retreated to an allied castle.
He gave orders to leave the gates of the castle open and the
torches lit. This brash move gave the enemy the false impression
of the strength of the defense and they were wary of attacking
that night. If they had indeed attacked, they would have easily
won.
In the meanwhile, Ieyasu sent some volunteers to run around
the enemies camp noisly. Not only did this disguise their numbers,
but it kept the enemy up all night so that none of them slept.
|
| Although they were tired, the enemies started a
siege that soon there was no food except a keg of Sake. Not wishing
to have the sake fall into the hands of the enemy, Ieyasu ordered
the garrison to dispose of the material in the most appropriate
manner. The sounds of flute music and carousing, so perplexed
the enemy that they snuck up to the outer gate in order to better
hear the beautiful flute music coming from inside. As the general
approached the ramparts, a sentry saw him and pierced him through
the heart with an arrow. With their commander dead, the enemies
retreated, and Ieyasu escaped with a slight hangover. |

Okubo Tadayo
|
 |
One of Oda Nobunaga's lesser generals, Tadayo was initially
counted as one of Nobunaga's enemies. Aligned with a political
rival, Tadayo was invited to a tea ceremony by Ieyasu where
he was destined to be assasinated. At the tea party, he composed
a poem of such delicate beauty, that Nobunaga could not bear
to kill him and instead asked him to become an ally. Tadayo
accepted, and is now serving under Ieyasu as the head of the
calvalry.
He is well known for his oratory skills, statesmanship, and
is known to be fond of the arts.

Kaneda Tatemono
|
 |
Although he is one of the youngest members of the Assasin's
Guild, Kaneda rules the guild with an iron first and experience
far beyond his scant years.
Living on the streets since his parents were killed during
a torching of his village by the Shingin family, the old scars
on his face reflect his burning desire for revenge. He has found
a new home in the guild where he fights his own personal battle
one assignment at a time and his own ambition quickly took him
to the top of the organization. Although he no longer kills
himself, he is responsible for the intricate planning involved
in each operation.

Laini and Rei Hajima
|
 |
Laini and her longtime associate Rei are the backbone of the
Assasin's Guild. These twins were both born into their profession
and have spent their lives perfecting their art.
Laini frequently poses as a Geisha and uses her grace and incredible
beauty to seduce her male targets and smother them in her cold
embrace or with her poison kiss. Her knowledge of disguises
and poisons is unparalleled in the guild.
Rei is a master of weapons. He prefers to make his kills at
long rage with uncanny accuracy. He is the master of the bow,
the blow-dart, and the sword. He strikes like a snake with deadly
accuracy and his fangs are razor sharp and always fatal.
These two siblings operate under orders from Kaneda and are
called upon to eliminate political rivals, and bitter enemies
without a trace. They do to thier jobs quickly, quietly, and
with great relish and flair.
